- Well another summer of SHINE done and man was it fun!!!! We got to serve the needy in Memphis TN, Pittsburgh PA and Galveston TX. My family and I got to also fly to Prescott AZ to help LIFE TEEN put on a work camp. After doing this for 10 years you would think this gets tiresome, but to be honest I feel blessed and honored to to this. It's alot of work on our part (Dawn & I) but it is so worth it when a young person says that it is because of SHINE that they are a better person. It is my hope and prayer that SHINE will continue to go on. Even when I am just a memory. __________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Please pray for us down here in Texas as we get readty for the wrath of Ike. I will be posting an update as the storm aproaches. As of right now we are safe up here in Tomball. We are expecting 75-100 mph winds to hit us sometime Saturday morning. I will post more news tommorrow. Thanks in advance for your prayers. I will be blogging daily throughout the storm.
- Please pray for our friends in Avondale LA who were affected by Gustav. We don't know the extent of the damage but they are located right on the West Bank so I'm sure there is some serious damage.
- Please pray for Alex and all those that live in Haiti. The village of Aquin was hit hard by both Gustav and Hanna and they are in desperate need of the basics. If you can help and would like to donate to thier efforts please go to: Haitian Helping Hatian Foundation and give.
- Augie will be up in the Wisconsin area from November 12-19 2008, if you would like to have him come and do something for your parish please contact us.
